THE KENNEL

The main kennel block was built in 2004 alongside the 3 existing kennels following a generous donation from the London Bulldog Society with money left to them in the memory of  Mrs Mary Rampton  and built in her name along with two other new  kennel pens

It was further extended in 2008 thanks to a generous donation from the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust

Bulldog Rescue are lucky in that they have excellent kennel facilities consisting of 2 blocks of kennels with 8 separate pens.

There are 3 pens are in our air-conditioned indoor block which are set aside for new arrivals and dogs that require treatment or that are elderly. These kennels are monitored

In September 2010 we had the entire flooring re-laid thanks to a generous donation from Mrs Shirley Yap in memory of her bulldog Winston

The pens went from this ....

To this ...

In just 12 hours thanks to http://kennelflooring.co.uk/

The indoor block is subsequently in the memory of her bulldog

There are a further 5 pens in our outdoor block and each kennel is heated and covered

We also have a small exercise area

Our utility room was generously donated by Peter Petchy and Beverley Savage and is kept very busy indeed (Plumbing thanks to Reg)

On arrival every bulldog is able to be thoroughly examined in our very well equipped examination / grooming room and each dogs individual needs are assessed before they are put up for adoption.

Each dog is weighed, treated for fleas and wormed as well as checked for infections or other issues that may require veterinary treatment.

With access to Reggie's Den keeping the rescue with all the supplies it needs

And thanks to our kennel staff each dog is walked regularly

Two of these kennels are also named after two bulldogs that belonged to Mr and Mrs Russell in Portsmouth following two very generous denotations received in their memory that covered the building costs of the other two kennels.
