Despite our efforts to convince breeders to the contrary, realising one of
their dogs has been through rescue appears to be something to feel ashamed about
and many still seem to prefer to organise any rehoming themselves on anything
they bred. This is fine, but by working with us we can help each other.
Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming like to work alongside breeders, there is no need
to view our service with fear or shame. Apart from all rescue activity
being confidential we also keep a close eye of the dogs we have rehomed so
should you find yourself in the position of having to find a new home for
something you've bred don't be afraid to ask for our help - together we can ensure
that every bulldog has a place of safety regardless of who his breeder was.
Dogs rehomed through rescue have:
- Usually a microchip registered to rescue so we know if the dog appears
somewhere it shouldn't
- A safe placement in a vetted pet home that suits that dogs individual
needs
- Information detailing bulldog care and known history for that particular
dog
- An adoption form preventing new owners from breeding, showing or selling their
bulldog
- A nominal adoption fee which allows Bulldog Rescue to continue their
service
- Someone keeping an eye on them
- A safety net for the future
We are also available for advice to bulldog owners and new breeders
