BULLDOG RESCUE & REHOMING TERMS OF ADOPTION

Bulldog Rescue became the “owner” of this dog from the moment he left his former home and will remain so until such time that the enclosed adoption form and any applicable adoption fee has been received by Bulldog Rescue. For legal reasons, you are considered to be the “keeper” and subsequently the safety and welfare of this dog is solely your responsibility with immediate effect.

The enclosed adoption paper must be signed and returned to Bulldog Rescue within 7 days, after which you become the legal owner. The dog may be removed from your property if the adoption process is not completed. The adoption process is considered as complete only after Bulldog Rescue have signed the bottom. Full payment is expected to be returned to us with the adoption form.

Should you experience any problems with this dog during this interim period you must contact Bulldog Rescue immediately. If you collected this dog directly from his previous home you must NOT contact the former owner as they have surrendered their legal right to us. Should this placement fail within 14 days of the adoption date any adoption fee paid will be returned in full.

This dog has been offered for adoption in good health except where notified. However, we advise you take this dog to a veterinary surgeon as soon as possible for a full check up as in the event that a serious medical condition is found and reported to Bulldog Rescue within 14 days of the adoption date we may be able to help with any unexpected medical costs

Bulldog Rescue is a non-profit making voluntary organisation, the adoption fees charged ensure we have sufficient funds available to help sick and injured bulldogs that come into our care. Our fees are fixed in accordance with the dogs age and have no reflection on the amount of money spent on the individual dog prior to him being re-homed with you.

Under no circumstances must this dog be anything other than a companion animal. You are prohibited from breeding or showing this dog and no kennel club paperwork or pedigree will be supplied to you.

We expect spay or castration surgery to be undertaken at your own expense within 6 months of the adoption date unless specified otherwise.
